There are many varieties of poker. Some are played at the official level, others are popular only at home. You can read about some most popular types of poker below:

The rules of poker- Draw poker

It is one of the easiest types of poker.
Players make initial bet and receive five cards that are closed.
Then the trade goes
Players announce that they would change a few cards. The dealer picks up their cards and deals them the same amount of new cards
Then the last round of trade is following.

Stud Poker Rules (Stud)

There are several varieties of stud, such as 5 card stud or 7 card stud. Below you can read a description of 7 card stud.
The players make a pre-bet. Sometimes some players also make bets blindly.
Everybody is dealt one open card and two closed
Then the trade round goes.
One open card is dealt to everybody (the total number of cards is 4).
After the next round of trade everybody gets one more open card (the number of cards is 5).
Then the trade round goes.
One more open card is given (total number is 6).
After the trade round a closed card is dealt (now everyone has 7cards).
Then the last round of trade follows.

Then players choose a combination of 5 cards in their hands.

The type of stud is Hi-Lo, when the most senior and the lowest combination win. Another variety is Razz, when only junior combination wins.

5 card stud is usually a popular game to play at home, and this is usually the kind of poker with the help of which children first learn to play cards in the US.

7 card stud has long been the most popular kind of poker, until it was replaced by Texas Hold’em.

Rules of Texas Hold’em poker (Texas Hold’em)

Texas Hold’em (sometimes it is simply called hold’em) is the most popular variety of poker today. The popularity may be linked to the fact that the major poker tournaments are held on precisely this variety of the game.

Texas Hold’em is an example of poker game with common cards (community poker), i.e. there are cards that are used by all players to make combinations.

They play the game in the following manner:
Sometimes all the players have made a small pre-bet.
Two players (sometimes one) who sit to the left of the dealer make blind bets. Usually the first makes the small bet, and the second makes the big bet.
Each player receives two closed cards. Then the trade round goes.
Then three open cards are put on the table in front of all players. Then the trade round goes.
Another open card is placed on the table. The trade round goes.
When playing limit hold’em fixed bet is doubled at this point.
One more card is placed on the table. Thus there are 5 cards on the table.
Then the last round of trade follows.
Players can use their 2 cards and 5 open cards for making 5 card combinations.

There are three main varieties of Texas Hold’em: Limit, Pot-limit (popular in Europe), no-limit.

Limit poker is popular on tournaments, but it does not enjoy considerable popularity in ordinary games.

The rules of Omaha poker
Omaha is sometimes called Omaha Hold’em, and in fact it is similar to Texas Hold’em.

The game comes in the following manner:
Sometimes all the players have made a small pre-bet.
Two players (sometimes one) who sit to the left of the dealer make blind bets. Usually the first makes the small bet, and the second makes the big bet.
Each player receives 4 closed cards. Then the trade round goes.
Then three open cards are put on the table in front of all players. Then the trade round goes.
Another open card is placed on the table. The trade round goes.
When playing the limit game fixed bet can be doubled at this point.
Then the last card is placed on the table. Thus there are 5 cards on the table.
Then the last round of trade follows.
Players must use 2 of their pocket cards as maximum and at least 3 of 5 community cards to make combinations.

Omaha may also be limit, pot-limit and no-limit, but the most popular variation is limit.
